How the brain works

Neurons

Neurons are cells specialised in relaying information about your body to different parts of your body. ‘Information’ can include of all sorts of things, like your decision to move your arm, or the emotions you feel when you see a good movie.

Neurons have a special shape, consisting of three important parts: the cell body, the axon and the dendrites.
